How to choose a TV package in Cyprus
Pricely team · Updated 18 October 2026 · How we pick
Pick a TV package by what you actually watch, not by the number of channels. The cheapest way to watch Cypriot football is Primetel Cypriot Football at €24.90 a month; Cablenet Starter + Unlimited Sports adds international sport for €30. No football? Cablenet TV Starter Pack costs €5 a month, and Cablenet Starter + NOVA Channels brings the Nova channels for €16.
Already paying for home internet? Check whether TV comes with it before you buy a package (it does with Primetel fibre).
Which sport do you watch?
The dilemma: sport is where the price doubles, so pay only for the sport you follow.
- Cypriot football: from €24.90 (Primetel Cypriot Football, 10 channels).
- International sport (European leagues and more): from €19.90 (Primetel Entertainment + International sports, 50 channels).
- Both: from €30 (Cablenet Starter + Unlimited Sports).
The regret: buying a sports pack for one competition the operator doesn't show. Rights move between operators, so check the operator's channel list for your league before you sign. Compare every TV package with the football and sport filters.
Nova channels, films and series
Nova (Novacinema and Novasports) is in Cytavision's packages and in some packages from the others; the cheapest way in is Cablenet Starter + NOVA Channels at €16 a month. For HBO Max, Cablenet Starter + HBO Max, Movies & Entertainment costs €21 a month.
Do you need the same operator for internet?
The fear: having to change your internet to get the TV you want.
The rule: not always. Cablenet's TV Starter Pack works with any internet provider, and Primetel's TV runs as an app on your smart TV or phone, with no commitment. Cytavision's prices don't include the connection fee or line rental, so add those when you compare. Primetel's home fibre already includes a 50-channel pack. Count the channels you’ll actually watch
Packages run from 10 to 90 channels, but most people watch a handful. A small pack plus the one sport you follow usually costs less than a big "everything" pack. Buying a new TV as well? Read how to choose a TV and compare TV prices in Cyprus.
