Take an Apple Watch if you have an iPhone and want apps, calls and Apple Pay (the Apple Watch Series 12 from €449). Take a Garmin for running and training data and a battery that lasts a week or two; it works with iPhone and Android (the Garmin Forerunner 170 from €299).
Garmin Instinct and Fenix outdoor watches last two to four weeks. Among everyday smartwatches, the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro lasts about two weeks (from €455 today), against a day or two for Apple, Galaxy and Pixel watches.
