Questions

NVMe or SATA SSD?

If your computer has an M.2 slot, take an NVMe SSD: it is several times faster for a little more money. A SATA SSD is for older laptops and PCs with a 2.5" bay or an M.2 SATA slot; it still feels much faster than a hard drive.

How much is a 1 TB SSD in Cyprus?

1 TB NVMe SSDs start at €195 in Cyprus shops today.

Which SSD for a PS5?

A PS5 needs an M.2 NVMe SSD, PCIe Gen 4, with a heatsink. Ones of 1 TB or more start at €333 in Cyprus today.

Portable SSD or external hard drive?

For backups at home, an external hard drive gives the most space: 2 TB from €118. A portable SSD (1 TB from €224) is much faster and survives drops, so it suits carrying files around.
